4th of July Princess

We had a relaxing fourth this year at my Mom and Rob's. We swam, bbq'd, and watched fireworks from the spa. Taylor and Gavin had so much fun just being outside all day!
She was a little princess.
This was the best I could do at getting the whole outfit. This little outfit was cousin Emma's last year. We are so lucky to get all of her cute clothes!
She swam with water wings for the first time. She doesn't know how to do them yet, but she didn't mind having them on at all.
I didn't take too many pictures. This was when we left...Jimmy put Gage in the bag and he was so tired from hanging out with Zoee all day, he didn't mind one bit.

Huntington Beach

Lucky for us, our aunt and uncle own a condo at Huntington Beach that we got to use last weekend. It's right on the sand and so nice with babies. It's close enough to come back for naps, walk to eat, walk to shop, ride bikes and have lots of fun. We were there two nights and this was the easiest trip wtih Taylor and her sleeping by far. She would just watch a movie (Cars) and fall asleep around bedtime or a little later both nights. There was no struggle, no crying, just easy! Yay for me :) Lots of pictures...

You can see the condos right behind us with the blue canopies.
We played on the beach one day when it warmed up.
Taylor loved it!

She collected lots of shells and didn't mind sand getting all over her.

That's Jimmy and Nate out there.

The next day we rode bikes all the way to Newport and they both fell asleep right away...it was naptime.

It was a really fun trip. Thank you Aunt Vicki and Uncle Ben. It was good seeing you guys too!

Family, Movies, and Friends

Taylor and I have been busy. Poor girl was sick all weekend but is feeling much better now. We went to visit our family on Saturday, but didn't last long because she wasn't feeling good. We didn't go to her Mommy and Me class on Monday because I wanted to make sure she was 100% over it. Tuesday we went to the movies for the first time. Sammy and Tawny came with us and I am happy to say we stayed to whole time. She got a little squirmy, but did pretty well for her first time.
We ran to Target first for some snacks.

Today we went and visited with friends from my Credential/Master's Program. We hardly ever get to see each other all at once, but it was fun. Everyone has a baby or two!
Sammy didn't make the picture because she was at preshool and Angela wasn't in it because she took the picture for us :)  I had a good time catching up.
Cute little Madison.
Taylor thinking about swimming, but never actually did.
She mostly ate snacks.

Happy Father's Day

This is the picture I made for Jimmy this year.
Here's the picture I made for him last year. She's grown up a lot since last Father's Day.
Taylor and her Daddy have a special bond. I love seeing them together. They have so much fun and she definitly knows how to get what she wants from him. She's a lucky girl to have a daddy like him!

Not sure what we are going to get to do today because...
somebody is sick. She is sleeping on the couch right now which has never happened before. I think she has a little bug. Jimmy had one on Wednesday and I'm just hoping it skips me.

Hope everybody has a nice Father's Day!

Big Girl Bed

It's been a week now that she has been in her big girl bed. This went so much easier than I thought! She was really excited about it. Poor baby fell out twice the first night. She didn't even know what happened and didn't really fully wake up, was just on the ground wimpering. That only happened the first night and hasn't happened since. She hasn't gotten out of her bed either. I did tell her she couldn't get out of the bed and she listened :) She just says, "Mommy, Mommy!"  when she wants me to come and get her.

First thing she did was jump on the bed.
She had to practice being in bed with Gage. He didn't like it.
Such a big girl. Now if I could get her potty trained! That one...not so easy!

Meet Baby Addison Ruth Walker

I have been in a real blogging rut lately. I haven't felt like blogging about anything. I feel really closed off to the blogging world because I went private because of a stupid crazy person, and so I feel like maybe no one reads about us anymore. I need to get over it, because I want the stuff in my blog book for the year. I am going to try and catch up and keep up now that school's out. I had to pack up my classroom and move it all to my garage because I have no idea where or what grade level I will be at next year. Talk about some serious frustration! Nothing I can do but wait. I am enjoying not having to be at work the last few days. Taylor is enjoying it too :)

About a week and a half ago I got to meet this sweet girl! She is precious and I think she looks just like her mommy. I can't wait to see her again.

Girl Time

Jimmy left to go fishing on a boat in San Diego this morning at 2 or 3 am! Crazy! So, Taylor and I hung out after work today, just us girls. I am in a wedding on Sunday and needed a pedicure very and I have been thinking about taking Taylor with me for a while now. Today was the day. I told her this morning that we would get our nails painted today and that is one of her favorite things to do right now. She will sit still for a very long time to paint her nails, hands and feet. It's very cute to see her all into these girly things. Make up is another one. She will sit and act like she's putting on for a long time too. She sat through the whole time at the nail shop and got a little antsy at the very end. We did bring some new color wonders that kept her entertained in my lap.

She had never been in a nail shop before. She was amazed. Poor lady in the background (didn't mean to take a picture of your butt!)
Waiting
Still waiting for them to call us back. She got a little confused...once they told us to come back she waved bye and headed out the front doot. She doesn't know how it all goes. She probably does now.

The best part...only five bucks for Taylor! She had a lot of  fun.
She got little paw prints on her toes and smiley faces on her hands. Some of them got a little smeared...she doesn't understand the wait for them to dry part.
Overall= very fun for her (and me)
