Gavin's Baby Shower

This weekend was the baby shower for Baby Gavin (my soon to be nephew). Jenna got lots of stuff for him and Taylor was the star of the show. She got to see lots of her family that she doesn't see very often.
Taylor got a present too. Aunt Kathy bought her this adorable little hat.

Taylor had her party dress on (and headband).

These are Taylor's great Grandmas (on my side).

Cute cake!

Thumb Sucking

Baby Taylor loves her thumb now. She can even suck it while she is strapped into her car seat. While she sucks her thumb with her left hand she has to be rubbing the back of her head with her right hand (it's actually really cute how she does it)! Then she turns herself sideways for some reason. I'm going to have to start buckling her in because she moves around a lot.

Bebe Pod Seat

Taylor holds her head up pretty well now and so I thought I would put her in her bebe pod seat and she did really well in it. I've had this up in the closet since before she was born, so I was excited to get it down and use it! She's starting to always want to be in the upright position because she wants to see everything.

Jimmy thought they would watch some of the ball game together, but he should know she's like her mom and doesn't like watching sports!

More Swimming

Taylor went swimming again last weekend and she floated in a little raft her grandma bought for her. She loved it again.

My Sweet Baby

Here's a picture of Taylor on Father's Day. She's getting so big. I'm so excited to say that she basically sleeps nine hours a night. Last weekend she slept ten hours two nights in a row, but it's been nine since then. I think it's the thumb that is making her sleep so long. She LOVES that thing!

Swimming

Taylor went swimming...well not really. She put her feet in. I mostly wanted to see how cute she looked in her little bathing suit. So, I filled her bath with warm water and brought it out to my mom's pool and she loved that. Then, I put her feet in the pool and she loved that too. She was so relaxed the whole time. She was so relaxed that she fell asleep by the pool naked. she slept for a while and we let her. It's gotta feel good to not have that diaper on for a little while and it was really hot outside. What made me laugh was how full the diaper was with water and when I tried to squeeze it, nothing came out. I guess that's what they're made for!

Mission Inn

Jimmy's birthday was June 7th and we went to dinner with friends and I didn't take any pictures! I had my camera too. On June 8th we went to the Mission Inn for brunch with my mom and Robert. It was such good food and nice weather. Taylor was a good girl, but she didn't get to eat any of the good stuff!

2 Months Old

Well, she's 2 months old now. She is smiling a lot and still sleeping eight hours at night. I can't believe it's gone by so fast.

Gage looks like a giant for some reason.
See, she's cute even when she cries...sometimes!

Girls Day Out

Last Wednesday Taylor and I went with Danielle and Linkyn and Danielle's mom to Fashion Island, Sprinkles, and The District. We had a lot of fun even though it was freezing that day. Taylor slept the entire day while we hit up all the baby stores and more. Here are some pictures of the day...
Isn't that bow adorable??

She slept the day away!

Thumb Sucking

Taylor is still sucking her thumb every so often. She can't always get it in her mouth, but when she does... she goes to town!

Sleepy Girl

Taylor has started sleeping anywhere from 7 hours and 25 minutes to 8 hours straight at night!Whoo Hoo!! I just hope it sticks. After her day of no napping on Saturday, I thought for sure that's why she slept 8 hours. But, then on Sunday she did the same thing, maybe only 7 hours and 45 minutes, but I'll take it. Then again last night, she slept 7 hours and 25 minutes. And the really great thing is that I feed her and still goes back down for another 2 hours or a little longer. I've been getting some pretty good rest even though I still wake up at her normal wake times and wonder why she isn't. Then I check on her and try to go back to sleep. Today we are going to a meeting I have for work and my principal told me to bring her, so I am. This is the earliest we have ever been out of the house, but I did it. It's amazing we're going to be on time! We are on our way out the door now.

Just A Good Picture

I was playing around with this picture and I think it's so cute I had to post it!

Our Weekend

This weekend was so nice outside! Yesterday we had a little family day, we went to lunch at Red Lobster (our favorite) and then went to one store at Ontario Mills so I could exchange something and then to Victoria Gardens to walk around. Taylor wasn't really excited about Victoria Gardens, so it was a short trip. Taylor decided that she wasn't going to nap yesterday! She took a couple 5 -10 minute naps, a 3 minute nap and then one thirty minute nap. She was bright eyed and curious to see everything. Then we went to my mom's and ate dinner. Jenna held Taylor and she ALWAYS falls asleep on her and that didn't even work. The only good part about that was she slept from 10:15-6:00 this morning. Then I fed her and she went back to sleep until 9:00. Basically, I think she exhausted herself yesterday! Today, we went to Applebee's with Jimmy's cousin who had a baby boy four days before Taylor. Here are some cute pictures of them together...

A cute little 1/2 smile.

Headbands

I'm so excited because Taylor's head is big enough for headbands now. I have been trying them on her since she was born and they were always too big and they looked really huge on her. Well, they still do look huge (but I think it's cute) but at least they stay on. Here's some pictures of her with them on...
