The Zoo

On one of our last days of summer Taylor and I went to the zoo with Robyn, my sister in law, and Teagan, my niece. The girls are three months apart and really enjoyed each others company. I didn't take a lot of pictures because Taylor was without a nap and being a little difficult until we left and we were busy busy walking everywhere. She really liked the zoo and getting to see so many animals.

They got their faces painted and looked so cute! I could get pictures of this because Taylor was actually sitting still :)

It was so cute to watch them get this done. They were so into it.

Forest Falls

Saturday morning we got up and did something really fun and different for us. Some poeple Jimmy works with told about this neat little hike to a waterfall and we decided to go and see it too. It was in a little mountain town and not far from home at all. Taylor had such a good time!

                                                                  This was just the beginning.

Here was the view to the top of the waterfall.
She thought throwing rocks intothe water was so much fun.

There were kids there with their shoes off, so she wanted to do it too, until she felt how cold the water was.

She wanted to do it like her daddy and just wear her socks and shoes in the water.
Then she got kinda crazy running around in there!
Here she is at the end...ready for a snack and a drink.
This place was a lot of fun to see.

We are still here!

I can't believe I haven't blogged in almost a month. It's pretty sad. Life is back to being so busy that I feel I don't have any extra time. Any extra time I do have is spent with my little baby girl! So, I started at my new school and things have been a little rough. Everything is so different, I just can't seem to get adjusted. This week is feeling a teeny tad bit better than last wek, but still really hard. I have been doing the same thing for seven years now, but I feel like I am starting all over again with teaching, but I have a family to care for now too. I am just trying to give it some time. It's gotta calm back down at some point.

Taylor is seeming to be adjusted back to being on a tight schedule. She is spending three days a week with a friend that I have worked with for a long time who got to take this year off...lucky her. She also has a baby Taylor's age and we went through our pregnancies together. They do lots of fun stuff there everyday and she loves going to see Bagan (Megan) and EEumm (Liam). And Gavin comes to play too! Then she still goes and gets grandma love two days a week which she loves!

These are some cute pictures I got of her this weekend. Hopefully this weekend I will go back and catch my blog up on the fun things we did right at the end of summer. I can't even wait to have a long weekend!

She is all about tutus right now. She sleeps in one every single night. Carter's has really cute pajama ones that she loves and they are pretty cute.
And she really loves these slip on shoes.

This is what you do in dance class??? At least that's what she says.

She is so much fun right now. She talks a lot and cracks us up! This morning she said, "My back hurts. I doctor." I don't think her back hurts and she doesn't like the doctor.

Newport Harbor

Taylor, Holly, and I went down to visit Gina and Andy at their condo at the beach the other day. It was so beautiful down there.

This is Andy, Gina's husband, and he gave us our very own harbor cruise! It was so pretty.

Taylor was ready and didn't mind her life vest at all.

He was snoozin' on someone's dock.

Andy let Taylor drive, but she was freaking me out because she kept saying, "I do it!" and moving my hands. I might go crazy if I hear much more of that!

We went all the way out to see these guys. It was so neat to be that close.

You can see both Newport piers.
Taylor had a little PB&J while on the boat.

I think I am just now thinking how much I will miss my friends from my old school because it's almost time to go back. I will really miss seeing these two and talking and gossiping and venting. I'm really sad about that. We had some really good times. I know I will see them it just won't be the same.

Thank you Gina and Andy for showing us around down there!

Now I am sad because I am not ready to go back to work and I'm not sure about the big change of going to a new school. Two weeks left :(

Airport

Last week we went to the little airport in our city and had breakfast and then looked at planes. It was cute. The kids were excited to see the planes. A guy who was working on one of them let the kids get in and see the inside.

Taylor just loves Sammy or Nammy as she calls her.

Travis did fly too, but I didn't get a pic...sorry Travis.
It was a cute little place for the kids to see planes!

Oahu

Finally I was able to go through all of my pictures. My photoshop decided to stop working :( Luckily Tawny came and got it all set up again. Thank you so much!

So, here is our trip in a nutshell. I posted all of the pictures on Facebook, but had to really slim it down for this and it's still gonna be long.

We drove a minivan all week. Taylor and Gavin had matching toy laptops that kept them pretty busy in the car while we were sightseeing all over the island.

The view from our condo. Our condo was a three rooms and two bathrooms. Perfect for two families and a grandpa. It was on the tenth floor so we had a great view. It was walking distance to the beach and caddy corner from the Hilton Hawaiian Village.

They feed the fish there at 8:00am each day. Jimmy and Nate took the kids down on the first day in jammies.

Taylor and Gavin got in some good grandpa time. They watched movies and played.

She calls him Grandpa ill. Not Gil.
My dad had a cheeseburger. The first one in two years! They must not be big on them in Korea :)
We got to visit with our cousin Ashley and her husband Jacob. He is in the service and they are stationed there right now. It was fun to catch up with them. That is my mom's sister's daughter.
Of course she had a tropical smoothie...
And wore flowers on her ear...
and swam in the ocean...
played in the sand almost everyday...
imitated what fish do...
and got sandy feet multiple times.
It was beautiful there!
Our family
Don't know how they got that smile out of Taylor. I think she was squeezing my neck really hard and she thinks that funny...hence the smile.
That was my sixth trip to Oahu and I have never seen the Kahala Resort, but that is the prettiest place on the island in my opinion.
Taylor and I in a hammock.
Dinner at Duke's our last night there with the cousins.
We swam a lot at the condo too!
No wonder she slept 2 hours and 45 minutes on the way home! She was so comfy.
It was such a good trip, but of course so sad to say bye to my dad. That was really rough. Taylor really liked Hawaii and everyday I asked her if she wanted to go home or stay in Hawaii and she would say, "stay Hawaii."  She was such a good traveler!
