Day 2- Drive to Monterey

Wednesday we got up early and had breakfast at our hotel. Then we got on the road to Monterey. We took the scenic route all the way there which took FOREVER!!! It ended up being close to five hours and we felt so bad for Taylor who was NOT having that car ride. We had to keep stopping because she was antsy and bored. Poor thing! It was the most amazing scenery though and well worth it...just wished it was a little shorter. We took the freeway back which only took a little over two hours.

Hearst Castle. We didn't stop because we went there the last time we up there for our first year anniversary.

First stop...Elephant Seal Beach. That is an amazing sight. This time there weren't as many seals on the beach, but there were a lot playing in the water and being really loud.

Taylor so excited to not be sitting in her car seat!

Playing in the water. Poor things, they are just are not pretty when you see them up close.

Taylor and her signature pose for the day.
We finally arrived at the Fisherman's Wharf. It was so cute there...we had lunch.

Some harbor seals.

Jimmy thought this tree was so cool!

5 hours is a long time for a little one. I've been on that scenic drive before when I was about 13. It really is so beautiful. I want to go back sometime. Maybe when my girls are out of car seats. ;)

Great pictures! We did that drive before... it's beautiful, but does take a long time :) Driving with little ones is always a challenge.
