Taylor Miachelle Davis

Hi everyone! She has arrived. She arrived on her due date, April 6th, at 9:58 pm. It was such a crazy day, but I will give you a short run down and then post a ton of pictures because I cannot wait for everyone to see her. (The pictures are not in order...I didn't want to redo the whole thing) So, I woke up on Sunday and felt fine, then I lost my mucous plug. I didn't think I was in labor because I know it can still be a while. Then I started feeling really crampy, but not bad. So, around 10:15 we started to write them down every time one happened. They never were more than 7 minutes apart. I called Kaiser and they didn't want me to come in until they were 2-3 minutes apart and were lasting for a good amount of time. So, we finally went to Kaiser around 5:00 (or maybe later...I don't know the exact times) because my pain was getting much worse and the contractions were 3 minutes apart for the most part. When we got there, they checked and I was dilated to 4, so they admitted me. Then it started getting painful!! So I asked for the epidural and I got it probably an hour later. They had to put it in three times, but hey, I would have let them do it 1,000 because I hurt so bad. Finally it worked and they checked me about five minutes later...I was already dilated to 10!! No wonder it hurt so bad, so quickly. So, they said we are ready to push and that's when she arrived. I have never felt anything like this before. Jimmy and I can't believe she ours and she is so perfect. Everyone has told me that you have so much love for your baby and it is true. It's almost overwhelming the feelings that I feel for her. I come to tears when I think of it. Enough about us. I want you to see her...
I know I need to return a lot of phone calls and texts, I will, I promise...it's just been a whirlwind!

Gage is feeling VERY left out.

I love this picture...you can see how tiny her hand is.
This is when she arrived home.

This was after I had the epidural.

There she is. 7 lbs. 1 oz. and 19 3/4 inches long.

This was the last monthly picture that I took.

This was when we first got to the hospital to get checked.

Congratulations Amy! She is beautiful! I am so excited for you :) It's amazing that you had Taylor on her actual due date and you didn't have to be induced, that happens so rarely! I'm glad it went pretty fast for you. Now you just get to enjoy your sweet little girl. The first few nights at home can be pretty tiring, I hope you have lots of help and can get some rest :) I'm so glad you posted pictures and I can't wait to see more.
