Day 3- More Pismo Beach

On Thursday we did only things that Taylor would enjoy. We took her on a walking trail with beautiful cliffs of the ocean, then we played at a park near the trails. We had lunch at Pismo Hot Dogs and had dineer at Giuseppe's Italian food. Both were very good. We hung out at the hotel too and this bird kept visiting us on the patio, eating all of Taylor's snack that she dropped.

She thought that bird was great, but she kept scaring it away.

We also went back down to the beach again so that Taylor could play with her sand toys which she didn't think was fun at all :( Oh well, maybe next year. A couple of these pictures I copied the ideas from Tawny...thanks!
That's our hotel up on the cliff.

Another beautiful sunset.

Day 2- Drive to Monterey

Wednesday we got up early and had breakfast at our hotel. Then we got on the road to Monterey. We took the scenic route all the way there which took FOREVER!!! It ended up being close to five hours and we felt so bad for Taylor who was NOT having that car ride. We had to keep stopping because she was antsy and bored. Poor thing! It was the most amazing scenery though and well worth it...just wished it was a little shorter. We took the freeway back which only took a little over two hours.

Hearst Castle. We didn't stop because we went there the last time we up there for our first year anniversary.

First stop...Elephant Seal Beach. That is an amazing sight. This time there weren't as many seals on the beach, but there were a lot playing in the water and being really loud.

Taylor so excited to not be sitting in her car seat!

Playing in the water. Poor things, they are just are not pretty when you see them up close.

Taylor and her signature pose for the day.
We finally arrived at the Fisherman's Wharf. It was so cute there...we had lunch.

Some harbor seals.

Jimmy thought this tree was so cool!

Day 1 of Our Vacation

We left on Tuesday morning. We made a few stops to let Taylor stretch and we ate on our way. We finally arrived around 2:30, checked in, put Taylor down for a little nap, and enjoyed the view. We stayed at the Pismo Lighthouse Suites and it was great and very kid friendly. The view was so beautiful and we could see dolphins playing in the water every day.

Views from our little patio.

Dolphins in the water.

I got this picture by luck...I was just waiting to get the perfect picture and they jumped!

After Taylor woke up from a very short nap we headed down to the city to get dinner and walk around the beach and pier. I got clam chowed from Splash Cafe that was sooo good. Someone had told us to make sure we go there.

After we got back to the hotel we went down to the water to take some pictures of Taylor. She still hates the soft sand, but doesn't mind when it's firm. She loves the ocean and runs straight in if we don't catch her. Then she gets mad when we catch her.

Cute little foot prints.

The stairs we had to come down to get to the water from the hotel.
One of my favorite pictures. I'm not really sure how I did it, I just kept taking them and sometimes the flash would go off and sometimes it wouldn't. This is one where it didn't go off. I just love their profiles.
I'm going to try and start on day 2...Taylor is going on three hours of sleeping right now, so I have a feeling I won't finish.

Vacation!

Jimmy took this week off so that we could spend some time with him. Today he went to Musical Munchkins with us and then to run errands. We are leaving bright and early tomorrow morning to Pismo beach. We are very excited and I will post lots of pictures when we get back.
